How do I print?
Printing from a Campus Computer

All MCC registered students have the ability to print in B/W or Color in the Library/Learning Commons and in the open Student Lab located on the upper floor of the Student Center, above the MPR, near the Student Senate and CAB offices. All registered students are automatically provided a printing stipend.

When printing using one of the MCC Student Computers in these two areas, simply open your document within the appropriate application (word, excel, browser, canvas, etc), navigate to the print function within the application, provide your EasyLogin Username and Password when prompted and the cost of the print job will be deducted from your printing stipend.

When prompted to authenticate, use your EasyLogin Username and Password.

Can I access library databases from my home computer?

A list of Databases can be browsed here. When prompted, please use your EasyLogin to log in to MCC Library e-resources. It is the same one you use for Canvas, SIS, your college email and printing from college computers. If you have trouble logging in, please see these suggestions.

How do I access databases?

You can access the databases a couple of different ways. To search all of the library's holdings (including print books and DVDs) go the library homepage and enter your search in the MCC OneSearch Box.

A list of individual databases is also available for browsing and searching here: https://library.mccnh.edu/az.php

How to I log on to the college Wi-Fi?

MCC offers free Wi-Fi via two networks:

  • CCSNH for students, faculty & staff which requires EasyLogin credentials
  • CCSNH-Guest for visitors
I've followed the instructions for off-campus access, and it still doesn't work. I can't get into Canvas. Help!

Try clearing your cache (go to history and look for clear cache or try these shortcuts: on a Microsoft OS computer, simultaneously pressing CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE on a Mac, simultaneously pressing CMD+SHIFT+DELETE. You may also try closing and reopening your internet browser, using a private browser session, or using a different browser. If those don’t work, then contact MCC help desk by email or calling 603-206-8080.

I'm a nursing major. How do I find articles by nurse authors?

There is no single way, but here are some tips (the video above shows tips 1 and 2, step-by-step):

1. You can add

AND nurs*

to your keyword search in any of our databases or MCC Library OneSearch. This will look for some form of the word nurse in the title, abstract, and subject tags of the articles.

2. You can choose "advanced search" in EBSCO databases (including OneSearch, the PICO search box, and CINAHL) and find options to check off for nursing. In CINAHL you can choose nursing under Journal Subset and you can check "Any author is a nurse," a box just above the Journal Subset box. In other databases you can choose Nursing and Allied Health as a discipline.

Please ask a librarian if you need help with these strategies.

Also, see our Nursing and PICO research guides.

What is my EasyLogin?

Your EasyLogin username is the same one you use for CanvasSIS, your college email and printing from college computers. If you have trouble logging in, please contact the IT Help Desk at 603-206-8080 or email mccitsupport@ccsnh.edu

What hours is the library open?

Current hours are always posted in a box on the side of the Library homepage.

I have heard that students can use Microsoft Office at home for free. How do I get access?

Log into your MCC student e-mail. Click on the App Launcher button in the upper left-hand corner.

From here you can use one of the cloud-based Office apps or continue on to install the apps on your computer. To install an app, click on More apps.

On the next page, click on the Install Apps button, then select Microsoft 365 apps.

Can someone proofread my paper or essay?

Please make appointment with a tutor in Navigate. You can also have a paper reviewed through Brainfuse online tutoring. Brainfuse is free for students.

To access Brainfuse Online Tutoring:

  1. Sign in to Canvas
  2. Go to any course
  3. Click on 24/7 Tutoring in the left hand side menu.
My EasyLogin isn't working. I can't get into a database. What do I do?

If your EasyLogin is not working for CanvasSIS, and your college email or you do not remember your password:

  • Change your password yourself by going to the Apps Portal, scrolling down to below the blue Sign In button and clicking on Need Help Signing In? Follow the prompts to reset your password.
  • If you are not successful, visit the IT Helpdesk located in the Library Learning Commons, call the Helpdesk at (603) 206-8080 or email mccitsupport@ccsnh.edu.

If your EasyLogin works for Canvas, SIS and your college email and you are only having a problem accessing library resources:

  • Try clearing your "cache" in your browser (ctrl-shift-del on windows -- command-shift-del on mac) OR try a different browser
    • If those commands don't work look for instructions at https://clear-my-cache.com
    • Pro tip: you might have to close the browser after you clear your cache and reopen)
    • This can sometimes help with Canvas access errors, too
    • If you take classes at more than one NH community college, try using a different browser for each library
  • Try waiting a few minutes and trying again.
  • If that doesn't help, please contact the library at 603-206-8150 or mcclibrary@ccsnh.edu.
    • Please take a screen shot  or photo of the error you are getting to help identify the problem.
    • Also let us know if you're registered for classes at any other NH community college
  • You can also chat with a librarian 24/7 and we'll do our best to send you PDFs of articles if you are on a tight deadline. Click the Chat With Us button on this page.
Where can I find peer-reviewed articles?

The easiest way to find a peer-reviewed article is by using one of the Library's databases. All of the Library's databases are listed in the A-Z Databases List. Most databases will have an option to filter results to only peer-reviewed materials.
