Staying Active at Home: Strength training

Strength training is a great way to build muscles, increase bone density, and improve joint flexibility. 

FITT

In strength training you can adjust your workout using the FITT principle:

  • Frequency of training — How often you workout
  • Intensity of training — How hard the workout is
  • Time spent — How long the workout session is
  • Type of exercise — Which exercises you choose
